Australia and New Zealand:
Brisbane – Cairns – Perth – Sydney – Auckland


Participants who plan to visit Australian or New Zealand for 12 weeks or less can do so on a simple 3 month Visitor(Tourist) Visa. Participants who plan to visit Australia on a Working Holiday Maker Visa will be permitted to study for amaximum of 4 months. Participants whose stay in Australia or New Zealand will be over 12 weeks and who are ineligiblefor a Working Holiday Maker Visa in Australia will require a Student Visa.To obtain a Student Visa in Australia or NewZealand, participants must (a) book an Intensive or Super Intensive course (Brisbane, Cairns, Perth, Auckland) or Fulltimecourse (Sydney); (b) show:

  • Letter of Offer
  • Proof of payment of tuition fees
  • Compulsory Oversees Student Heal Cover (OSHC) (at approx. AUD 30 – per month) only for Australia
  • Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE); this is sent to the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs bythe school in Australia, with a copy sent to the applicant.
  • Formal financial statement, that they can support themselves during their stay (basis: AUD1'200/NZ 1'000 permonth. At the point of entry, they will also be required to show the visa and the accommodation address.

Britain: London – Cambridge – Brighton – Bournemouth


Student Visitor Visa Route (Course duration of 6 months or less for non EU / EEA-nationals): Non-EU/EEA nationals whoare over 18 and wish to come to the UK, must obtain a visa and Entry Clearance as a "Student Visitor" prior to arrival.This can be obtained from a British diplomatic mission overseas. At the point of entry they might also be required toshow the school's confirmation letter, proof of payment of tuition fees, the accommodation address, their return flightticket and to prove with formal financial statements that they can support themselves during their stay. For somecountries a health certificate might be needed. Non-visa nationals should obtain leave (permission) to enter as a "StudentVisitor" on arrival in the UK. Students under the age of 18 should apply for Entry Clearance as a "Child Visitor". Note:Students entering the UK on a "Student Visitor" or "Child Visitor" visa will not be able to work or extend their course."Student Visa" route (Course duration of 6 months or more from non-EU / EEA countries): These participants need a"Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies" (CAS) when applying for Entry Clearance as a student. The UK Home Office hasapproved Eurocentres as an official sponsor which allows Eurocentres to issue the "Confirmation of Acceptance ofStudies" for its course participants. The CAS has to be presented at a British diplomatic mission overseas when applyingfor Entrance Clearance. A non-refundable fee for the "Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies" of GBP 15 will apply.The UK Home Office recommends that students wanting to study 6 months or more in the UK take an online self-assessmenttest which gives an indication of the likelihood of receiving the requested Entry Clearance. Additional costs for thistest will apply and have to be paid directly.

Canada: Vancouver – Toronto


Participants who plan to visit Canada for 6 months or less can do so on a simple Visitor (Tourist) Visa. Participantswhose stay in Canada will be over 6 months will require a Study Permit. Obtaining a Study Permit can take from a fewdays to 3 months, depending on where you live.

Ireland: Dublin


Participants from many countries outside the European Union require a visa to enter Ireland. For the application theyneed a letter of acceptance provided by the school, a proof of payment of tuition fees, a medical insurance and a formalfinancial statement that they can support themselves during their stay.

USA: New York – East Lansing – San Diego – Silicon Valley


To take over 20 units per week of study, every student must have a student visa (not a tourist visa), obtained from thelocal American Embassy / Consulate.To apply for the Visa, students need a completed I-20 form from the school. Newregulations effective from June 2003 (SEVIS: the new US government automated student visa system) mean that inorder to issue the I-20 form, financial documents from the student must be provided (e.g.a bank account statement)proving that he / she has "enough readily available funds" to study / live in the United States for the period covered by theI-20 "available from an identified and reliable financial source".

South Africa: Cape Town


Students participating in an English language course in South Africa for less than 90 days do not need to apply for astudy permit. Students from most countries do also not require a visitor's visa before entering South Africa. A visitor'spermit will be issued at customs on arrival. Passport holders from the following countries can stay a maximum of 90without a visa: Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy,Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland,Taiwan, Venezuela. Passport holders from the following countriescan stay a maximum of 30 without a visa: Poland,Turkey, South Korea.

Germany: Berlin


Participants from many countries can take a training course in Germany for up to 13 weeks with a simple tourist visagiven at the point of entry. A tourist visa cannot then be renewed to extend the stay. For countries other than membersof the European Union, a Language Course Visa is required for a stay of more than 13 weeks. This is issued initially for aperiod of 3 months, but can then be renewed from within Germany, with support from the school.

Italy: Florence


Participants from many countries do not need a visa to take a training course in Italy for up to 13 weeks. For mostcountries other than members of the European Union, Iceland and Liechtenstein, a student visa is required for a stay ofmore than 13 weeks. Once in Italy, all foreigners (except those belonging to the EU) must then register for a residencepermit "Permesso di Soggiorno". Students with a visa must remember to bring with them a copy of the EurocentresConfirmation letter stamped by the Italian Embassy in order to obtain their "Permesso di Soggiorno".

Japan: Kanazawa


Participants from countries other than the 62 countries that have visa exemption arrangements with Japan will requirea Short-term Stay Visa (up to 90 days). Participants who need documents (such as a Letter of Acceptance) fromEurocentres Kanazawa for the visa application must fill in the pre-course questionnaire given by Eurocentres Kanazawaprior to enrolment. The completed questionnaire must be returned to Eurocentres Kanazawa at least two monthsbefore the course starts and payment in full must be confirmed by our main office at the latest 6 weeks before thecourse starts.
